By DOUG COSTELLO | ESPN Staff WriterPosted February 15, 2018 12:21:57 The Coast Guard was called to the scene of a drowning on March 3, 2017, after a woman jumped off the yacht to escape the lifeguard boat and ran into the water.
The woman was found by the lifeguards on the yacht, but they were unable to revive her, and she drowned.
On Wednesday, the Coast Guardsman, the captain of the lifeboat and the life guard were identified as the victims in the incident.
The Coast Guard is asking anyone who may have seen the incident to call the Coastguard Reserve Hotline at 800-CALL-US-US (888-467-7877).
They are also urging anyone who was on the boat at the time of the incident, or who witnessed it to contact the Coastguards Residence and Hospital at 1-800-CATCH-US.
